Hump Day
July 12, 2010
I never really liked the expression “hump day” for Wednesday. Just kind of struck me as kind of dumb.
But every dog has its day, and today is the day for that lame-ass phrase.
Now, let’s say you decided to drink in 365 bars on 365 consecutive days, and it happened to be day 183. That, my friend, is getting over the hump.
And let me say, that the post about Bar 183 from Marty Wombacher is a must-read homage to a lady worth taking note of.
Cheers to Fedora and to Marty. Best of luck to the both of you.

By the way, Fedora doesn’t happen to have a cigarette machine, does she? Because that seems like it would be perfect. Probably not, because there is apparently only one left in town.

Thanks Fat Al, everybody should stop by and pay their respects to a great bar and a great and lovely lady. And I will definitely be stopping by J. Macs soon and I’ll buy a pack of cigarettes from the machine. Six bucks is a bargain these days for cigarettes. Thanks Mayor Bloomberg (sarcasm duly noted.)
Alas, I think the machine at J. Macs is up to 11 bucks these days. The times they are a changin’.
Some rumors about Fedora’s future.
If they had any brains they’d just leave it the way it is, but you know they’ll turn it into some kind of house of jackassery. They told Fedora they’d leave the sign up, but watch, I bet that’s a lie.
My money is on “house of jackassery” as well.
Anyone with Fedora memories to share, here’s some info:
