Down Venezuela way they’re setting up for an election. Recent contests have not gone to well for those who’ve chosen to challenge Hugo Chavez. Like many a good American, I’ve jingoistically been directed into not being such a big fan of the Venezuelan President; and he’s not so good, but I’m not really sure why I should care. Anyway, the opposition has united and chosen a sucker to go up against Hugo. Recently, this is how Chavez spoke about Henrique Capriles:

“Now we have the loser, welcome! We’re going to pulverise you,” he told an audience of medical students. “You have a pig’s tail, a pig’s ears, you snort like a pig, you’re a low-life pig. You’re a pig, don’t try and hide it.” He avoided calling Capriles by name, referring instead to “el majunche”, slang for “the crappy one.

I may not be a fan, but from afar, that’s kind of funny.
