Tellin' it like it is

John Axford is the closer for the Milwaukee Brewers. He’s been on a pretty good run. In fact, until this weekend he had saved 49 straight. He also happens to be on my fantasy baseball team. So other than his hideous facial hair, I’m pretty much good with Axford.

But I like him even better now. After he blew the save on Saturday night, and his save streak came to an end, he didn’t stick around the clubhouse after the 13th inning ended. He had to go. Instead, he left this note:

“Cliché…  Cliché…  Another cliché.“

Got to love that.
