Can I just say that I love Mary-Louise Parker?  Not only is she freaky, hot and from New York, but she’s freaky, hot and from New York.  The Weeds show is pretty good, although it has totally jumped the shark at this point.

There’s a short interview in today’s Wall Street Journal with her and apparently she’s not so big on blogs and the interwebs. Generally, I couldn’t agree more, particularly on her sentiments on FaceBook, etc. But I do hope she’d make a small occasional exception for THEG.

How do you respond to critics or bloggers who say…
Don’t tell me anything mean if it’s about me. Because I’ll only remember that, and I’ll remember it all day long.

It’s not about you personally. Some critics like the early seasons of “Weeds” and say the show lost its way around season five.
Well, I didn’t like season five. But apart from that, I wouldn’t go on a blog if you paid me $100,000 right now. It’s basically just a forum for people to be mean and have people listen to them. I don’t do any of that Twitter, MySpace and Facebook s—.

But don’t you feel like you’re out of the cultural conversation?
I hope so. I don’t want to be in any f—— cultural conversation. Sorry. I don’t know why I’m swearing so much. I just had so much chocolate.

Have I told you that I’ve seen her on the street 3 times since her first appearance on my “list?” Good thing I still have no game after all these years.

I’ve never seen the show, but I always liked her. And I smoked plenty of weeds in my wild youths.

It’s a good show, kind of bizarre, really, but I would definitely start from season 1.

I’ll put season one in my Netflix cue and check it out, Fat Al. One of the reasons I avoided it is because Kevin Nealon’s in it and he gets on my nerves sometimes.

It may not be saying much, but this is by far Nealon’s best work.
