Someone over at Baseball Think Factory posted this screed that they said they pulled from some chatboard at mlb.com.

Presented without further comment (except to say to Joe, Chicago’s a hell of a town):

“Counting September 5th to the end of the year the Yankees have the 2nd worst record in all of MLB (not 2nd worst amoung playoff teams, BUT 2ND WORST IN ALL MLB). Yankees are 9-17 over the past four weeks. The only team worse in Seatle. TB is 13-14. TC is 14-9. Atl is 11-12. SF is 17-9. Phl is 19-7. TX is 15-12, Cin is 12-15. Even horrible teams did better. Hou 12-12. Oak 11-14. Mil 14-10, CHC 16-10. LAD 11-15. Cle 14-12. FL 10-18. NYM 13-13. DC 11-15. Bal 16-9. Pit 12-15. KC 11-16. Get the point. This idiot, dumbest manager in the AL, Joe Retardi has managed this great team into the dirt for the past four weeks – not getting them rested and ready for PS, but getting them used to loosing and playing loosing baseball. It is long time that this looser goes somewhere else. It couldn’t come too soon. I would be so happy if he were fired today and anybody, even a child were put in his place. He is given the best talent in all of baseball and goes 9-17 down the stretch when it counts the most. GET RID OF THIS BUM GIRARDI!”

“but getting them used to loosing and playing loosing baseball.”

I’m not a baseball fan, but it’s always sad when someone goes off on a rant calling someone an idiot and then goes on to reveal the fact that he doesn’t know how to spell, “losing.”

That misspelling of losing is one of the most common errors out there, and one of the most incomprehensible to me.

However, in this case, I think the typos add to the unhinged power of the rant.

I was once referred to as an “alkoholic looser” in a comments section of someone’s blog and it was one of the highlights of my life.

Nice one. Now I have something to strive for.
