In other Chanukah related news:

Two Yeshiva University students led the effort to beat the current holder of the top place for dreidel spinning in the Guinness Book of World Records.

A university spokesman says the two students, along with 616 others, set a new record of 618 simultaneously spinning dreidels on Tuesday night. The old record was 541. It happened at the school’s athletic center at 184th Street and Amsterdam Avenue.

Truly inspirational, and will help me start getting over Kobayashi’s recent pizza failure:

Competitive eater Takeru Kobayashi failed in his attempt to break the Guinness World Record for eating a 12” pizza Saturday night in Brooklyn.

Kobayashi — best known for his exploits at the annual Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest on Coney Island — was trying to eat away at a record currently held by Josh Anderson of New Zealand.

Kobayashi was able to eat the pizza in a remarkable 2 minutes, 3 seconds – but it wasn’t enough to best Anderson, who finished with a time of 1 minute, 45.37 seconds.

“A university spokesman says the two students, along with 616 others”

I’m confused as to why the two get singled out and the others are relegated to “other” status. Didn’t they do this altogether? This isn’t fair and I may go there and protest this injustice!
