The King’s Head

December 18, 2010

Some old French guy had been storing the mummified head of King Henri IV in his garage. Henry IV reigned from 1594-1610, and a cursory reading of his wikipedia page has him coming across as a pretty decent king. He was a Huguenot and had to reject his Calvinism to be King and is noted for allegedly saying “Paris is worth a mass”

I also learned this morning that Tom Paine’s body was stored in some kooks attic, and there are rumors that his bones were turned into buttons. That doesn’t seem right.

Bones into buttons sounds like one of Captain Beefheart’s songs.
