From the Daily News:

Horror in Harlem: Dead woman found stuffed in suitcase on sidewalk

A passerby made a grisly discovery on an East Harlem street Wednesday – a dead woman, stuffed inside a suitcase, police said.

The female passerby noticed a leg sticking out of the suitcase, which was on a sidewalk on E. 114th St., across from Thomas Jefferson Park, police said.

Horrified, the passerby called 911 about 12:15 a.m. Wednesday.

Her death was not immediately classified as a homicide, and the medical examiner will determine the cause.

The suitcase was found barely three blocks away from the E. 116th St. entrance to the FDR Drive, which would have allowed for a quick getaway.

It also was just a few doors down from Rao’s, one of Manhattan’s most celebrated Italian restaurants. The body does not appear to be linked to the restaurant in any way.

Um, they’re not classifying it as a homicide? She jumped into the suitcase herself? What the fuck?

And the Rao’s proximity certainly is interesting…

The downside of 70s NYC nostalgia. It’s kind of a gratuitous slander of Raos.

Ok wait. I just followed the link to the Daily News story and I read that the woman who saw a leg sticking out of the suitcase saw said leg because she opened the suitcase. Yes, she was walking down the street and saw an abandoned suitcase and decided to open it. What goes on?

Dogs sleeping with cats, toads raining from the sky, stupid motherfuckers blogging about Nazi Xmas parties. One never knows what one will come upon.
