Hot Stove League

January 13, 2011

I’m an Andy Pettitte fan, but I don’t understand why the Yankees are tolerating his Hamlet act. We’re into the middle of January, approaching spring training, and he can’t make up his mind? They need to give him a deadline, if he doesn’t sign by then, move on and sign 2011’s version of Andy Hawkins.

Sort of an interesting set of stats. The guy led the AL in earned runs in 1989, but still had a .500 record.

1985 was a pretty good year for Melton though. And not just because of Live Aid.
